All About The Alberta Youth in Care Network

Have you ever been down for the count, or lost with all your inhibitions holding you down? Have you ever felt like the world is just so big, that you mean nothing, and that you are insignificant? Well let me be one of many to tell you that your not! We are the Alberta Youth in Care, and we are here to empower you and help you achieve things that you know you are capable of. We listen, we support, and we believe. We have been around for more than fifty years, and are dedicated to helping you find your voice!

Welcome to the Youth portion of our website! All About Youth!

We are the first network to have designed a for youth by youth web page in association with a network. You can be one of the first today to glance over at what we have to offer and even blog about what your feeling at the moment, or tell some pretty inspiring stories for your fellow youth to read. If you have a story you want to tell, tell. If you have a question that you’ve been dying to have answered, ask. We’re here to make sure your heard and supported. Now, you may think “Well why should I blog?” Simple. Why wouldn’t you want to? You get the lime light by one of our staff, or even have the chance to get some feed back from others who are in, or have been in the same situation as you! Now isn’t it nice to know that your not alone out there? I think so! Be a star!

But what if someone is being rude?

Thats why we are here. We will be making sure that everyone is treating everyone else with compassion and respect. If however you do find that someone is not following the code of conduct, inbox us at info@albertayouthincare.ca and we will deal with the issue promptly. That being said, we don’t want to censor anybody, and this blog is designed to be an open form of communication, so it is the responsibility of all involved to respect one another. Debates are good, even encouraged. Their are youth of all ages blogging, so lets keep that in mind when we’re venting. We wanna keep our website on the web, and the only way this will happen is with our peer support!

How do we get there?

Simple. All you have to do to get to the blog site is go to the Blog tab on the navigation menu to your right! Its that easy to begin gaining some glory all across Alberta! So enough from me and my team mates, get blogging, and share some of your stories and questions. Remember, if you want to stay anonymous, then don’t put your name there. Instead, Just put anonymous as the name, and your set to go! This goes the same with email. Just don’t put anything in the email if you don’t want anyone knowing!

Happy Blogging!
