Duties and Responsibilities

So what are some of the things you would be doing? Being apart of the Alberta Youth in Care and Custody Network means hard work! In a fun, fast paced environment you need to be able to empower youth by listening, and determining what their needs are. Remember, we are here for our peers, not for ourselves. Here’s a list of some of the things you would be responsible for doing:

  1. Empowering youth
  2. Being an attentive listener
  3. Attending Youth Advisory Panel (YAP) meetings
  4. Being friendly and kind hearted
  5. Cooperative and flexible
  6. Being an all round respectful team player
  7. Knowledge of community resources

Again, we are here for our peers, not for ourselves. We demonstrate leadership qualities and abilities, and adapt to an ever changing world. With one dream, and one goal in mind, we collaboratively allow others much like ourselves to be empowered through our positive attitudes.

As long as your in the Alberta region, you are able to access information, resources, or become apart of the Alberta Youth in Care Network in any major City! We are currently operating in the cities of Calgary, Alberta, and Edmonton, Alberta, and are always looking for bright individuals to join us on our journey. With caring staff representatives, joining is like taking a walk in the park on a mid-summers day! (Cheesy, we know!)
